Abstract:
PURPOSE: To use a deficient lamellar liposome carrier having a hydrophilic molecule fixed to its outer side for the transportation of an active molecule through cell membrane and apply the carrier as a skin agent or cosmetic to suppress or mitigate the pigment anomaly of man. CONSTITUTION: An active molecule exhibiting affinity to a cytoplasm transporting material such as vitamin A, steroid or a molecule having structure similar to the above is transported through a cell membrane by using a deficient lamellar liposome carrier having a hydrophilic molecule fixed to the outer side, especially a carrier having a zeta-potential of -30 to -80mV (as a result, the fixation of vesicles to erythrocyte is inhibited to enable melanocyte fusion by the migration of the vesicle at epithelial level). The carrier is used as a skin treating agent or cosmetic e.g. for the suppression or mitigation of pigment anomaly or the treatment of melanoma caused by the exposure to sun light.
