Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an applicator coil adapted for a selective treatment on a projecting part of the human body by providing a coil substantially having the shape of a spherical zone deformed into an ellipse. CONSTITUTION: An applicator coil almost has the shape of a spherical zone deformed like an egg or ellipse and includes a wire winding 10 deformed to match the shape and wound in a number of layers. Winding density is slightly greater at narrow ends than at wide ends, and the wire winding 10 is put in a plastic container 12. The applicator coil is provided with devices 24, 26, 28 supplying a treating fluid, and a plurality of electrodes 32 can be connected to an adaptable generator and are connected to a receiver coil, so that a low-frequency voltage corresponding to the receiver coil is induced via the wire winding 10; i.e., a cup shape deformed from a large opening into a small one is closely pressed against a projecting part of the body to make an effective treatment possible.
