Abstract:
PURPOSE: To appropriate the pressure of a sensor on a patient and eliminate any discomfort feeling of the patient caused by a long-time using by providing an applicator with a housing for holding the sensor in relation to the skin of the patient and an elastic means for fixing the housing and the sensor, and providing the elastic means with an adjustment means. CONSTITUTION: At first, a sensor 16 is incorporated in a storage chamber 24. Secondly, a sensor applicator 12 is fitted on the forehead of a patient and the end 30 of a strap 18 is arranged around a part of the body to be fixed. An adjustable fastener is passed through the end part 30. The fastener 32 is moved on the strap 18 so as to adjust the size of the patient. The strap 18 and the fastener 32 thus form a loop and are compensated to the size and the shape of the part of the patient body where these are wound around. The strap 18 is a rubber elastic body so that the storage chamber 24 and the sensor 16 are straightly pressurized in the direction of the patient.
