To provide an applicator which is easy to hold, by miniaturize an applicator container constituting the applicator.

With this applicator, the diameter of a large gear 9 journalled to the same shaft as a pancake 6 constituting a transfer tape supplying-winding mechanism 5 installed in an applicator container 2 is reduced to a smaller diameter than the original outside diameter of the pancake 6, and an intermediate gear 11 is interposed between the large gear 9 and a small gear 10 journalled to the same shaft as a take up reel 8 so that they are mutually engaged with each other. Thus, since the outside diameter of the large gear 9 can be reduced smaller than the original outside diameter of the pancake 6 while motion integral with the small gear 10 is secured, a remarkable miniaturization of the applicator can be made, and especially in a vertical pulling applicator, the applicator which is easy to hold and which has a shape close to a pen-type, can be obtained.
