To provide an applicator which provides the assistance of ejection of an ejected liquid by sealing in compressed air, and which can surely seal the compressed air into a vessel without having a tail plug pushed in or inclined.
In this applicator, a plug body with a part airtightly abutting on the vessel is inserted and fixed into an opening of the vessel; an inward protrusion is formed on an inner wall of the opening or an outward protrusion is formed on a side surface part of the plug body; a part, wherein a maximum outside diameter part of the side surface of the plug body is made larger in diameter than a minimum inside diameter part of the inner wall of the opening, is formed; a notched groove serving as a port for sealing in the compressed air is formed in at least either of the minimum inside diameter part of the inner wall of the opening and the maximum outside diameter part of the side surface of the plug body; and the airtight abutting part is arranged in a position to securing a filling passage for the compressed air by being brought into noncontact with an opposed member in a state wherein the minimum inside diameter part of the inner wall of the opening is brought into contact with the maximum outside diameter part of the side surface of the plug body.
