To provide a single component aqueous adhesive composition which exhibits excellent adhesiveness to various base materials such as a porous material having a small contact area with an adhesive layer and an adherend with low surface polarity and requires no long-term curing period after sticking; and to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet having an adhesive layer formed by using the aqueous adhesive composition.
The aqueous adhesive composition is prepared by dissolving/dispersing, with an aqueous medium (C): a vinyl resin (A) in which a gel fraction is previously adjusted to 30-50 mass% by previously mixing a vinyl resin (a1) and an oil-soluble crosslinking agent (a2) together; and an ester (B) of a disproportionated rosin acid having a structure represented by general formula (1).
