Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-microbial composition in which the anti-microorganism active agent does not leach therefrom, and to provide a coating that allows the anti-microorganism activity to last for a long period of time, especially that lasts for a period of 5 years under weathering.SOLUTION: A method for producing the composition, comprises (a) reacting a binder component (B) comprising at least one alkoxy silane (B2) and a polymer dispersion (PD) and thereby producing a prepolymer, and subsequently (b) mixing or hydrolyzing and poly-condensating the prepolymer under the presence of water and at least one anti-microbial agent (Z) comprising at least one anti-microorganism active agent (Z1) and optionally a granular support material (Z2), and in which the at least one anti-microbial agent (Z) is non-reactive during the step of (b).
