Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous dispersion excellent in dispersion stability during storage or use and film-forming properties by combining a specified ethylene/ vinyl alcohol copolymer component with a PVA component under specified conditions to form an aqueous dispersion of a normally water-insoluble copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: An ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer component of an ethylene content of 15-65mol% is combined with 1-50 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. former component, PVA component to form an aqueous dispersion of a block or graft copolymer water-insoluble at ordinary temperature.
