To provide an aqueous inkjet ink composition using the least possible consumables such as a reaction liquid and a treatment liquid, other than the ink, and capable of giving a high quality image on various materials to be recorded, in which the image density is high, the fixability is good, and feathering, bleeding, and beading are less, and to provide an inkjet image forming device using the same.
After the pH of recording paper 14 is adjusted by a pH adjustment means 12, an ink is discharged from a recording head 13 to form an image. The ink composition is an aqueous inkjet ink composition that contains water, a colorant, and a pH-responsive polymer which has two or more hydrophilic segments arranged in a side chain and two or more pH-responsive segments which changes hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity depending on the pH value.
