Abstract:
To provide an aqueous coating composition that exhibits excellent workability in roller application with a roller, such as a middle-haired roller.SOLUTION: An aqueous coating composition has (a) a synthetic resin emulsion, (b) mica with an average particle size of 0.3-3 mm, and (c) calcium carbonate with an average particle size of 0.1-0.5 mm. Relative to 100 pts.mass of solid content in (a) component, the content of (b) component is 3-30 pts.mass and the content of (c) component is 20-100 pts.mass. When measured with a B-type viscometer at 20 rpm and a coating temperature of 25°C, a viscosity is 1,000-100,000 mPa s. A Ti value (a viscosity at 2 rpm and a coating temperature of 25°C/a viscosity at 20 rpm and a coating temperature of 25°C) is 2-8.SELECTED DRAWING: None
