Abstract:
To obtain a reagent having an alkoxyl group having an unsaturated group at the β-position, e.g. propargyl, benzyl or allyl group and useful for cleaving an unsaturated alkoyloxycarbonyl functional group.
(A) A reagent comprising (I) an aqueous phase, (ii) a catalyst containing at least one group VIII element of the periodic table of elements, capable of forming a complex with a water-soluble coordinating agent and held in the aqueous phase and (iii) a nucleophilic compound having water solubility is reacted with (B) a starting material having a the β-position protected with an unsaturated alkoyloxycarbonyl group and further a substituent group containing >5C in the alkoyloxycarbonyl group and a substituent group containing >5 carbon atoms grafted onto the alkoyloxycarbonyl group to cleave the protecting functional group. Furthermore, the component A is preferably a multiphase system, preferably a two-phase system such as the nucleophilic compound is soft and the water-soluble coordinating agent is a phosphine, etc., enhancing the basicity, the nucleophilic compound has a highly hydrophilic functional group in the molecule, etc.
