Abstract:
To provide an aqueous resin composition for coating material which gives a coating material that sufficiently achieves both stain resistance and prevention of cracks of a coated film.SOLUTION: An aqueous resin composition for coating material contains emulsion particles having an urethane-based polymer component and an acrylic polymer component, and a water-soluble polymer having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000-200,000. In the composition, the emulsion particles and the water-soluble polymer can form a crosslinked structure, the emulsion particles have a functional group (α), the water-soluble polymer has a functional group (β), and the composition contains a crosslinking agent (C) that can cause a reaction to occur between the functional group (α) and the functional group (β) to form a crosslinked structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
