To obtain a compsn. which forms a yellowing-free film excellent in adhesiveness by incorporating an organopolysiloxane having Si-bonded hydrox yl or alkoxy groups, finely particulate silica, a cure catalyst, and a silatrane deriv. into the same.
This compsn. contains 100 pts.wt. organopolysiloxane of formula I, 0.5-100 pts.wt. finely particulate silica, 0.01-10 pts.wt. cure catalyst (e.g. tin octanoate), and 0.01-10 pts.wt. silatrane deriv. of formula II. The silatrane deriv. is obtd. by reacting an amine compd. with an epoxidized trialkoxysilane compd., an example of the deriv. being a compd. of formula III. In the formulas, R is an org. monovalent group; X is hydroxy or alkoxy; Y is H or alkyl; Z is -(OSiR2)kX; n and k are each 0 or higher; m is 1 or higher; R1 is H or 1-10C alkyl; R2 is H, alkyl, or an alkoxysilyl-contg. group; and R3 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group or the like.
