Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous solution not evolving hydrogen disulfide during preservation in an aqueous solution containing a metal salt of dithiocarbamic acid as a main component.
SOLUTION: A compound containing at least one primary amino group (e.g. diethylenetriamine) is reacted with carbon disulfide and a metal hydroxide in an aqueous solution at ≤50°C while adjusting the solution during the reaction to pH10-14 to give a high-purity stabilized metal salt of dithiocarbamic acid not containing a trithiocarbonate and/or not showing a peak derived from a substance except the main component in a 260-280ppm region in a C13-NMR spectrum. After the reaction is over, 0.01-200mol% based on the dithiocarbamate of an alkali is added to the reaction solution to increase storage stability of the aqueous solution.
