Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject stable and homogeneous composition not having a problem on safety and health by emulsifying and dispersing a thermoplastic resin and the alkylene oxide adduct of a polyhydric alcohol or the like.
SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by dissolving the mixture of (A) a thermoplastic resin (preferably a polycarbonate resin), (B) the alkylene oxide adduct (e.g. oxyethylene adduct having an adduct molar number of 5-250 moles) of a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. castor oil) and an aromatic alcohol (e.g. benzylphenol) and, if necessary, (C) a polyalkylene ether glycol having oxyalkylene units (e.g. an oxyethylene-oxypropylene block type polyalkylene ether glycol) in an organic solvent (e.g. methylene dichloride), mixing the solution with water, emulsifying and dispersing the mixture, and subsequently removing the solvent from the dispersion.
