Abstract:

To provide a nanocomposite having an aromatic polyamide dispersed in a matrix resin at a molecular level while giving solubility to organic solvent to the aromatic polyamide without impairing excellent heat resistance, mechanical characteristics and the like essentially owned by the aromatic polyamide.

The aramide nanocomposite comprises an aliphatic polyimide and/or a precursor thereof as a matrix, and an organic solvent-soluble aromatic polyamide having compatibility to an aliphatic imide that is the precursor of the aliphatic polyimide as a reinforcing fiber molecule.
