Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect the worker's eyes at the time of performing welding work by closing a shutter mechanism provided between a worker and the welding work position after a tungsten electrode is brought into a contact with a work.
CONSTITUTION: An arc is generated automatically at a very short time after the tungsten electrode 22 is brought into contact with the work W and further, the welding position is made to the position where the tungsten electrode 22 is brought into contact with the work. Welding work to the specified position can be then performed while the worker's eyes being protected against the arc by closing the shutter mechanism after the tungsten electrode 22 is brought into contact with the work W.
