Abstract:
To reduce a memory quantity for retaining mesh data representing a two-dimensional area and execute a calculation of the area at a high speed.
An arithmetic unit for determining area information overlap converts a set of respective mesh IDs of a mesh ID assembly of input area data into a symbol combination and stores it in storage means, applies an operation instruction to the area data, to the symbol combination stored in the storage means and executes it, and converts the execution result of area arithmetic processing means into a similar form to that of the input area data and outputs it.
