Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm type sewing machine of which the parts can be made common for sewing machines of many kinds of models.
SOLUTION: The arm type sewing machine is composed of a bed, an arm 3 in a hook shape in a side face view having a vertical part whose lower end part is fixed on the bed and a horizontal part 3 extended horizontally from the upper end of the vertical part, a head 4 fixed to the horizontal part front surface 3c of the arm 3, a needle thread take-up 7 supported by the head 4 freely swingably within a vertical plane, a needle bar 8 supported by the head 4 freely vertically movably at the lower position of the needle thread take-up 7, a driving shaft 10 disposed horizontally and in parallel with the horizontal part front surface 3c of the arm 3 at the rear position of the needle thread take-up 7 and the needle bar 8 and freely rotatably supported by the head 4, a needle thread take-up driving mechanism part 40 for transmitting the rotary driving power of the driving shaft 10 and swinging the needle thread take-up 7, a needle bar driving mechanism part 30 for transmitting the rotary driving power of the driving shaft 10 similarly and vertically moving the needle bar 8, and a driving power source for imparting the rotary driving power to the driving shaft 10.
