Abstract:
Polyamide compd. (II) is prepared from N,N'-bis(4-amino phenyl) terephthalamide(I) by low temperature polymerization with aliphatic diacid chloride in the solution of alkali metal salt dissolved in tertiary amide solvent and added with aromatic tertiary amine as the reaction promoter; where X = 2 - 10. Aromatic or aliphatic copolymerized polyamide fiber having high strength and elasticity is manufactured from (II) by dissolving in high polar solvent, liquid crystal spinning, and thermal elongation.
