To obtain an aromatic derivative which has cell adhesion-inhibiting activity and is useful as an anti-inflammatory agent.
This compound is represented by formula I [R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independently from one another H, a lower alkyl; R5 is H, a lower alkyl; R6 is H, a lower alkyl; X1-X2-X3 is the formula: CH=CH-CH; Z1 and Z2 are both H or incorporate to give a single bond; V1 and V2 are both H or incorporate to form the formula: -SO2N(CH3)-; W1 and W2 are both H or incorporate to form O; m, n, p are independently from one another 0, 1; A is the formula: -C(O)N(R9)-(R9 is H, a lower alkyl); B is formula II (R10 is H, a lower alkyl; Y is O, S); D is an aryl]. A compound of formula III obtained through a known process is hydrolyzed, allowed to react with a compound of formula IV, and the obtained product is hydrolyzed followed by reaction of the hydrolyzate with a compound of formula V to give a compound of formula I where A is -C(O)NR9- and both of W1 and W2 are 0.
