Abstract:
To provide a method for stretching an aromatic polyamide film, having high productivity and process stability in the production of the aromatic polyamide film and capable of obtaining the aromatic polyamide film of high quality reduced in thickness irregularity.
When a polymer sheet comprising an aromatic polyamide with a solvent content of 20-70 wt.% is stretched in its longitudinal direction, the polymer sheet peeled from a support is stretched by 1.01-1.3 times in the longitudinal direction at a temperature of 70-100°C and the stretched film is further heated to a temperature of 100-250°C to be stretched by 1.1-3.5 times in the longitudinal direction to manufacture the aromatic polyamide film.
