To provide an aromatic polyamide which improves solubility in an organic solvent and the stability of a solution without impairing the excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties and the like of the aromatic polyamide, and is suitably used in obtaining a molded product such as a fiber, a sheet, and particularly a film.
