To provide an array antenna in which a beam space system can be implemented without separately adding a digital circuit or the like.
An adaptive array antenna 1 is a time division multiplexing system in which one receiving circuit 4 is shared among a plurality of antennas 2. A beam space operation control section 8 forms a beam in a predetermined direction by simultaneously connecting the plurality of antennas 2 and forms beams in respective directions by switching a set of the simultaneously connected antennas in order. A beam space processing section 19 selects a beam of a high receiving level from among these beams. An adaptive processing section 20 estimates a radio wave arrival direction by performing adaptive processing only on the beam of the high receiving level among these beams.
