PURPOSE: To uniform potential distribution of resistors under normal AC voltage, by dividing a non-linear resistor into plural units connected in series and locating in accordance with the potential distribution between the conductor and the grounded tank.
CONSTITUTION: Cylindrical conductor 9 is provided at the tip of high voltage side lead 4 contained in enclosed container 1 then non-linear resistor 3 divided into a plurality of elements 31-37 is located in series connection between said side and enclosed contatiner 1, while each element 31-37 is located such that the higher the potential the nearer to the conductor 6 and the lower the potential the nearer to the enclosed container 1. Consequently the bearing voltage of non-linear resistor 3 determined by the capacitance of resistor 3 and the stray capacitance between the conductor 6 and the enclosed container 1 can be uniformed for normal AC voltage, resulting in long service life and high reliability
