Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for allocating a desired QoS (quality of service) level to the data traffic of a specific service.SOLUTION: Downlink data traffic to a user device 10 passes through a packet tester 100 before received by a gateway 26. The packet tester 100 identifies a data packet associated with one or more predetermined services and/or associated with a specific user. When a data packet associated with a specific predefined service is identified, the packet tester 100 transmits packet test data to provide display information to a policy controller 30. Further, the packet tester 100 includes a marking function 120 which includes an identifier to the tested data packet.
