To control the number of articles accurately without requiring a lot of time and labor by reading information from an RF-ID medium attached to the article.
A control label 3 composed of an IC tag 10 and a distinguishing tag 20 is stuck to the article 1, tag ID is read from the IC tag 10 existent in a loading area 2 through antennas 41a, 41b in an information reading device 40, and the loading area 2 is imaged by CCD cameras 31a, 31b. A distinguishing mark formed in the distinguishing tag 20 is detected from image data in an image analysis device 30. The number of tag IDs read from the IC tag part 10 is compared with the number of detected distinguishing marks to output results of the comparison in this control system 50.
