The article control system comprises an article DB 112 in which the list of articles required for each destination is stored, a navigation device 300 to set the destination for traveling of a vehicle, an article detection unit 116 to detect the article carried with an occupant of the vehicle, an insufficient article determination unit 120 to determine insufficient articles among the articles included in the list by comparing the articles in the list required corresponding to the destination with the actually detected articles, and a notification unit 122 to notify that insufficient articles are present.
