PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article management system capable of improving easiness of use.SOLUTION: An article management system 1 comprises: plural article management devices 2 individually disposed and connected so as to communicate each other; and management means (storage part 24, display operation part 14). The respective article management devices 2 have a storage part for storing the article (storage parts A-N), and in the respective article management devices 2, transaction of taking out and/or storage of the article with respect to the storage parts is possible. The management means manage pieces of information about transaction on the respective article management devices in a compacted state and by unified management.
