An article sorting and carrying-out device 100 for properly sorting articles W placed on trays 111 travelling along a carrying line onto fixed chutes 120 provided on at least one of both right and left sides of the carrying line and delivering the articles to storage parts 161 of carriages 160 obliquely below the fixed chutes 120 in an article delivering direction, includes sheet-like chutes 170 which are each fixed at one end side 171 in the article delivering direction to the fixed chute 120 and engaged at the other end side 172 in the article delivering direction with an opposite side 163 of the carriage 160 to the side of the fixed chute 120 in a slacking state in the article delivering direction.
