Abstract:

To provide an article surface coating method for a photocatalyst composition capable of removing mal-odor in a room, a harmful substance or stain on the surface of an article by photocatalyst effect by coating the photocatalyst composition on the article surface of a plastic plate or a glass plate, and to obtain an article surface coating agent.

The photocatalyst composition 1, a binder 2 and a binder auxiliary agent 3 having an oily component are mixed to obtain the liquid article surface coating agent A. A coating film layer 4a obtained by thinly spreading the agent A on the surface of an article (b) is formed on the surface of the article (b). The binder and binder auxiliary agent in the outermost layer of the coating film layer are removed by wiping to expose the photocatalyst composition on the outermost layer surface of the coating film layer.
