Abstract:
To provide a graphite crucible usable to melt highly reactive alloys such as titanium aluminide hardly affected by pollution.
Articles for use with highly reactive alloys include the graphite crucible 10, and at least a first protective layer 16 formed in an interior 12 of the crucible. The graphite crucible 10 having the first protective layer 16 is used in melting the highly reactive alloys.
