Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus wrapping a case in which cigarettes are contained, with film.

CONSTITUTION: A wrapper web Z is cut by a cutting part 4 and cutters 34A, 14 to cut the end of a tear strip attached to a section are provided. A driving means 24 is provided to vary the pass length of the web 2 between the cutters. Feeding of the web 2 to the cutter 34A is assisted by an air mover 32, and also feeding of a wrapper section 4 transferring across a passage of articles 6 to be wrapped is assisted by another air mover 50. Opposed belt conveyors 43, 44 are clamped together under action of air cylinders for feeding the wrapper section.
