In the artificial feather for shuttlecock including a feather part 2 and a shank 3 connected to the feather part 2, the feather part 2 and shank 3 are made of thermoplastic resin and fused by ultrasonic waves and/or laser. The artificial feather for shuttlecock is manufactured by stacking the feather part 2 made of thermoplastic resin and the shank 3 made of thermoplastic resin and melting and solidifying the surface of the feather part and/or the surface of the shank by ultrasonic irradiation and/or laser irradiation to fuse the feather part 2 and shank 3.
