Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3946343
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily access to a space within a groove at the time of executing ex-post-facto operation by providing a neck bearing to the upper part of a stem in one body, providing a groove extending in the longitudinal direction, and providing a notch in the area of the neck bearing in contact with the longitudinal groove.
SOLUTION: The stem 1 of an artificial prosthetic matter, which is to be buried in a femur, makes a neck 2 hold a cone 3 by setting an upper tip part to be the neck 2, and a joint head is arranged at the cone 3. The neck bearing 4 provided between the stem 1 and the neck 2 is hung horizontally in all the directions from the stem 1 to flatten the bottom face of the neck bearing 4 to be supported on a bone cut-off face. Then, two grooves 5 extending in parallel with a center line are provided on the front and rear faces of the stem 1 and a notch 6 is provided at a position adjacent to each groove 5 of the neck bearing.
