Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce an artificial stone panel bringing about an atmosphere near to that of a natural stone by arranging a surface decorative article on the molding surface of a mold and injecting a flowable resin into the mold to cure the same and taking out the cured artificial stone panel from the mold.
CONSTITUTION: A flame is applied to natural granite to subject the surface thereof to burner finish and cured silicone rubber is applied to the finished surface of natural granite and cured to be detached. Whereupon, the uneven pattern of the surface of the natural granite is transferred to the surface of the silicone rubber. A mold 2 is prepared from this silicone rubber. Next, granular mica 8 is scattered over the molding surface 4 of the mold 2 and an arylic resin emulsion before curing is sprayed on the molding surface 4. Herein, acrylic resin emulsions having different hues are sprayed in a granular form using three jet nozzles 10, 12, 14. As a result, resins 16, 18, 20 having different hues are complicatedly mixed at the parts being contact with the molding surface and the color patterns near to those of natural granite are obtained. The whole is introduced into a drying chamber to cure the resin and the obtained artificial stone panel is taken out of the mold.
