Title:
ARTIFICIAL STONE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07247526
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a large amount of artificial stones in any arbitrary shape and size by housing sand-like substances in an air-tight bag and sucking up and discharging fluids in the bag, such as air or water and solidifying th fluids contractedly with an atmospheric pressure and sealing.

CONSTITUTION: Sand is injected from an injection opening 5 and filled up in a bag 1 which is made of an air tight raw material comprising weathering synthetic resin or a metal sheet, such as stainless steel and covered with a lid 3, thereby sealing the bag. When the fluid, such as air or water inside the bag 1 is sucked up and discharged from a suction opening 5 installed to a notched part 4 by means of a vacuum pump, the internal part of the bag 1 is turned into a vacuum state where the outer periphery is pressed with an atmospheric pressure so that the whole bag may be contracted and solidified. A sealing part 6 of the suction opening 5 is thermowelded in such a state and a projected part is cut off. The size, the shape and the color of the bag 1 may be selectable so as to comply with a specified service in terms of the structure. If a fluid welding material is mixed with the sand, they will penetrate between the sands when they are sucked up so that the sand particles may be bonded firmly. This constitution makes it possible to hold the shape of artificial stones even when the bag 1 is subjected to rupture.
