Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the closure of a slag draw out port by keeping melted slag from solidifying at the slag draw out port utilizing exhaust gas heat without installing any auxiliary burner.
SOLUTION: This furnace is provided with a fire furnace for melting ash, an ash supply port 20 which is provided in one wall surface of the fire furnace to supply ash into the fire furnace, a heating source for an ash layer 4 which is arranged in a fire furnace wall surface facing the ash supply port 20 or in the fire furnace wall surface askew above the ash layer formed in the fire furnace and a melted slag draw out port 18 at a lower end part of an inclined furnace bed part. There is arranged an ash melting furnace 3 provided within the furnace bed part so that an exhaust gas flows in the direction crossing the flow of a melted slag flowing down on the furnace bed part through a combustion exhaust gas outlet passage 7B of the furnace 3. A direct combustion exhaust gas outlet passage 7B is provided through the furnace bed part while the flow of an exhaust gas in the passage 7B runs in the direction crossing the flow of the melted slag flowing down on the furnace bed part. Thus, the melted slag flows down maintaining a high temperature by the heat of the exhaust gas thereby preventing the solidification of the meted slag and eventual closure of the slag draw out port 18.
