To provide an aqueous emulsified dispersion-type asphalt modifying agent capable of being mixed with or dissolved in a thermal asphalt or an asphalt emulsion by a simple method and of improving flow resistance, toughness and low temperature flexibility of the asphalt without lowering workability.
The asphalt modifying agent comprises an aqueous emulsified dispersion comprising (a) a thermoplastic elastomer, (b) an emulsifier and (c) at least one kind of xanthan gum and rhamsan gum, wherein the emulsifier comprises at least one nonionic emulsifier selected from the group consisting of a specific polyalkylene oxide adduct of a styrenated phenol and a specific polyalkylene oxide adduct of a benzylated phenol, and a rosin acid salt.
