To provide asphalt pellets capable of being melted at low temperatures and in a short period of time and also relaxing the restriction of covering materials.
An asphalt pellet 111 is constituted by asphalt 112 and two thermoplastic films 113 and 114 which cover the surface of this asphalt 112 as the covering materials. The thermoplastic films are the ones molded by T-die casting, inflation molding, calender molding and the like in the form of films having a melting point Tm of 70°C<Tm≤190°C and a thickness of 2-100 μm.Of these films 113 and 114, the lower film 113 has a pocket P whose inner part becomes depressed downward leaving the peripheral portion. Pocket P is filled with a weight of 0.01-100 g asphalt 112. The upper thermoplastic film 114 is superposed on the upper side of the lower thermoplastic film 112 and thermally fused at its periphery.
