Abstract:
The plates (38) of the track links are separate from the links (44) and are bolted to the links with the bolt heads (30) protected by the hollow shape of the links. The link side of the plates has recessed holes (46) which locate on studs in the links, with the studs threaded with the bolt holes. The plates can have a pattern of recessed holes so that a universal fitting is obtained to cover a variety of track designs. The studs and recessed holes provide improved shear strength of the track.
