Abstract:
To provide an assembly for securing a wear member to an excavator, in particular, for mounting an adaptor to a dredge cutter head.
The assembly for mounting an excavating tooth particularly suited for a dredge cutter head includes a base, an adapter, and a lock. The base includes a convex, curved bearing surface that abuts on a concaved and curved bearing surface on the adapter. The curved bearing surfaces can maintain substantially full contact with each other at transverse loading.
