Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector of which a clamp is reliably guided and pressure-connected to a wire in a cage with high strength.
CONSTITUTION: This electric connector comprises a cage 16, a clamp 14, and a screw 12. Separation of the tip wall 36 of the cage 16 is prevented by joining a tip wall having a projected part 40 and a tip wall having a recessed part 42. A guide groove 44 is formed in the side wall of the cage 16. The guide groove 44 guides a rib 30 formed in the clamp 14. The clamp 14 receives the screw 12 in a hole formed by thread-cutting and after the clamp 14 and the screw 12 are inserted into the cage 16, the clamp and the screw are prevented from coming off by a blade part 46 which can be bent.
