Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain new blocked org. polyisocyanate usable in the production of a baking lacquer whose max. baking temp. is 140°C and capable of producing a soln. having storage stability when dissolved in a known lacquer solvent.
CONSTITUTION: The org. polyisocyanate has 5-20 wt.% content of unblocked and blocked isocyanate groups (calculated as NCO), at least 95% of the isocyanate groups are present in blocked form and the blocking agent consists essentially of (A) 30-70 equiv.% diisopropylamine, (B) 30-70 equiv.% at least one other blocking agent selected from CH-acidic esters and 1,2,4-triazole and (C) 0-20 equiv.% blocking agents other than those set forth in (A) and (B). The percentages of (A), (B) and (C) add up to 100.
