Abstract:
To provide an atmosphere cutting method upon the start of continuous casting, where sealing can be retained even without performing covering while the atmosphere coming in contact with a molten alloy is purged.
The atmosphere cutting method upon the start of continuous casting is a method where the atmosphere is shielded from a molten alloy upon the start of continuous casting, and is characterized in that a reducing gas is fed to the opening part of a mold holding the molten alloy, and the atmosphere is shielded from the molten alloy.
