To provide an attachment for a plate member for fence, which not only facilitates the attahcment of the plate member to a support member but also can attain firm and sure attachment thereof by a further simple structure.

The attachment 2 includes a base plate part 4 to be fixed to the support member 12, a fitting plate part 6 bent and raised from an end side of the base plate part to be fitted into a groove 10a of the plate member 10, and an engagement piece 8 provided near the leading end of the fitting plate part 6 to be engaged within the groove 10a with spring property. In the attachment 2, when the base plate part 4 is fixed to the support member 12, and the plate member 10 is pressed so that the fitting plate part 6 is fitted into the groove 10a, the engagement piece 8 fitted in the groove 10a is engaged with a stepped part 10c. According to this, the fitting plate part 6 cannot be pulled out of the groove 10a, and the plate member 10 can be surely attached to the support member 12.
