To provide an attachment for a vacuum cleaner that performs cleaning while reliably preventing suction of water or the like into an electric fan, and is improved in ease of use.
The attachment 11 is provided with a downstream-side air passage member 12, an upstream side air passage member 21, a driving fan 41, a suction fan 43, and a dust separation part 51. The downstream-side air passage member 12 is provided with a downstream-side fan-housing part 15 communicating with the suction opening of the body of a vacuum cleaner in which the electric fan is housed. The housing part 15 has an air inlet 17. The upstream side air passage member 21 is connected to the upstream side of the downstream-side air passage member 12. The upstream side air passage member 21 is provided with an upstream side fan-housing part 28, where an air outlet 29, is formed. The driving fan 41 housed in the housing part 15 is rotated due to a first airflow reaching the suction opening of the body from the air inlet. The suction fan 43 housed in the housing part 28 is rotated by the driving fan 41 to generate a second airflow emitted from the air outlet 29 through the upstream side air passage member 21 independent of the first airflow. The dust separation part 51 for separating dust and water from the air and retaining them, is disposed on the upstream side of the suction fan 43.
