Abstract:
To provide a pharmaceutical use of a gold cluster (AuC) and a gold cluster-containing substance, and a producing method and use thereof.SOLUTION: An AuC-containing substance contains an AuC and a ligand Y covering over the AuC, in which the AuC has a gold core diameter of smaller than 3 nm and the ligand Y is cysteine-containing tripeptide such as glycine-L-cysteine-L-arginine tetrapeptide (GCR); cysteine-containing tetrapeptide such as glycine L-serine-L-cysteine-L-arginine tetrapeptide (GSCR); or another thiol-containing compound such as 1-[(2S)-2-methyl-3-thiol-1-oxopropyl]-L-proline. The AuC-containing substance is allowed to hinder Aβ and α-syn from aggregating and has an excellent effect in cell- and animal-model levels, and can be used to produce a medicine for preventing and treating Alzheimer disease and/or Parkinson disease.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
