Abstract:
The invention provides an audio device carrying out search based on letter pronunciation of non-letter titles. A conversion table registering letter pronunciation (pinyin) of each character of simplified Chinese is set in the audio device (1). The audio device (1) obtains and displays simplified Chinese titles from a portable player (2) and registers a title list of the titles in an alphabetical order calculated according to letter pronunciation instead of the original titles. During search, a title with an assigned character as a front part and a title with the highest rank in the registered order with a front part including the letter pronunciation of the assigned character calculated according to the conversion table are found, and the audio device displays the part of the title list with heads in the display range of the found titles.
