Title:
AUDIO PROCESSOR UTILIZING MIXTURE BETWEEN L AND R CHANNELS OF CD/CD-I AUDIO SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3539806
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of hardware elements necessary for obtaining a required attenuation value.
SOLUTION: This audio processor consists of an attenuation coefficient signal generating means 100 for receiving a required attenuation value as an input, generating an 8-bit attenuation coefficient (adder-clock), to be practically attenuated and outputting the generated coefficient in series by a clock signal format, an attenuator 200 for receiving the output signal from the means 100, the parallel audio signal of the L or R channel, a shift clock signal (shift-clock) and a 1st selection signal (load/shift), generating a fixed attenuation value, selectively mixing the attenuation value, and outputting an attenuated audio signal, an overflow-preventing means 300 for receiving the attenuated audio signal and an overflow control signal (overflow) to prevent the occurrence of an overflow, converting a 20-bit audio signal into an 16-bit audio signal and outputting the 16-bit audio signal, and a serial/parallel conversion means 400 for receiving the parallel audio signal outputted from the means 300 and a load control signal (load-output), converting the parallel audio signal into series audio signal and outputting the series audio signal to an output stage.
